ROLE: EMAIL MARKETING SPECIALIST

The Position We’re Looking to Fill
As a Full-Time Email Marketing Specialist at Public Nectar, you will play a key role in developing and executing email marketing campaigns that drive engagement, conversions, and growth for our clients. You will be part of a team of 21 that is committed to continuous improvement, sharing expertise, and delivering data-driven results. You’ll also have significant opportunities for professional development within our fast-growing agency.
Your Main Responsibilities:
- Developing and executing email marketing campaigns to meet client objectives, including creating the overall strategy, briefing the designers on the email template, writing copy, managing email lists, and scheduling campaigns.
- Ensuring all campaigns achieve targeted KPI’s such as open rates, click-through rates, other relevant metrics and conversion goals.
- Monitoring and reporting on the performance of your campaigns to both internal teams and clients, ensuring targets are met and optimising strategies to improve results.
- Conducting A/B testing to evaluate subject lines, email copy, design elements, and audience segmentation for optimal performance.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including content, design, and analytics, to align email marketing strategies with broader marketing objectives.
- Utilising data from platforms such as Klaviyo, Shopify, and Google Analytics to ensure all decisions are data-driven and performance is tracked effectively.
- Establishing and fostering strong client relationships by understanding their goals, setting clear expectations, and delivering exceptional service.
- Writing persuasive and engaging email copy that resonates with target audiences, drives action, and supports broader marketing initiatives.
- Developing creative email strategies, including automated flows, re-engagement campaigns, and customer lifecycle email series, to maximise engagement and retention.
- Staying current with email marketing best practices, regulatory compliance (such as Google and Yahoo deliverability requirements), and industry trends to ensure our campaigns are cutting-edge.
- Actively participating in team meetings, sharing your expertise, and contributing to the overall success of the email marketing team.

The Right Person for the Job
- Has several years of experience in email marketing and has successfully managed campaigns for clients with large email lists and high-volume sends.
- Has worked with and understands different email marketing platforms such as Klaviyo, Mailchimp and Omnisend.
- Has experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including design, content, and analytics, to deliver cohesive and successful campaigns.
- Has experience working in an advertising agency, startup, or service-based business.
- Has worked with clients in the e-commerce or D2C industry.
- Has a solid understanding of the customer lifecycle and the role email plays in the marketing funnel, including acquisition, retention, and re-engagement strategies.
- Is self-motivated and proactive, constantly seeking to improve by staying up to date on new trends, industry changes, and email marketing best practices.
- Is detail-oriented and enjoys tracking and analysing campaign data to drive performance improvements.
- Has strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and is comfortable interpreting data to inform decision-making.
- Is a self-starter who can work independently and manage their own workload without requiring close supervision.
- Is fluent in English, both written and verbal, with excellent communication skills to craft compelling and persuasive email copy.
